HEY LEP
Chris is the LEPs Employment and Skills Manager and is responsible for leading the LEPs people focussed work. Chris’ objective is to facilitate an efficient and fair local labour market where business can access a suitably skilled workforce, all local people can secure good quality, well paid employment regardless of their background and our young people can realise their potential.
He leads on employment and skills strategy, national funding opportunities, partnership development and national, regional and local stakeholder engagement.
He is the lead officer for the LEPs Employment & Skills Board and its associated working groups. The work of his team includes the Skills Advisory Panel work and the production of the Local Skills Report, the Local Digital Skills Partnership and the locally delivered Careers and Enterprise Company work around careers.
Chris brings with him experience of European funding, national neighbourhood renewal and employability funding management, partnership development, governance & performance management, corporate social responsibility & social value, economic development and post-16 employability and skills.
Outside of work Chris is a founding trustee of two local charities.
