Dominic Gibbons – Managing Director of Wykeland Group
Joining Property Development and Investment company, Wykeland Group, in the late 90’s Dominic became the Group Managing Director in 2009.
As well as having a property portfolio which stretches from Grimsby to Glasgow Wykeland have a current £500M commercial property development programme within the Yorkshire and Humber region and being based in Hull have been at the leading edge in supporting the regeneration of the City.
Current Wykeland projects include the fast-growing Bridgehead business park close to the Humber Bridge; the flagship @TheDock development incorporating the Centre for Digital Innovation (C4Di) in Hull’s Fruit Market; the expanding Melton West Business Park, west of Hull; Northern Lincolnshire’s premier business location, Europarc; the Treadmills regeneration scheme in Northallerton; and the Flemingate mixed-use regeneration scheme in Beverley.
Wykeland is also working in a joint venture with Beal Homes to continue to regenerate the Fruit Market area of Hull, in partnership with Hull City Council, creating the city’s first urban village.
Dominic spent a number of years as a Member of Council at the University of Hull and its Finance Committee, has also just taken on the Chair role of the Hull and East Yorkshire Cultural compact, Chair’s the charity Run With It, is a Trustee of the Hull Minster development fund, is a Governor at Hymers College school and is a Director of the C4Di.
