As Business Programme Manager, Laura leads on the Humber’s European Structural and Investment Funds programme which is investing over £100m in the area.
Laura’s role is to ensure that the area gains maximum impact from these funds, that the LEP’s ESIF Strategy is delivered and that activity is aligned with the needs of the area. This includes providing advice to the Humber ESIF Sub-Committee, developing call proposals, maximising opportunities for additional funding and overseeing the implementation of projects being supported through the programme.
Laura also leads on a number of programmes and activities that are part of the HEY Growth Hub offer. She also represents the HEY LEP on the Local Resilience Forum, supporting the area’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Before joining the Humber LEP, Laura managed North Lincolnshire Council’s Economic Development Team which included development and management of the £10m North Lincolnshire Regional Growth Fund Programme. Prior to this, Laura held a number of roles at Yorkshire Forward including the management of investments being made through the Renaissance Towns Programme.
