HEY LEP also works with our partners at East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Hull City Council to support them in developing and delivering their decarbonisation pathways.
We’re currently exploring various energy initiatives with Local Authorities and other stakeholders – such as utilising brownfield land for solar panels, waste industrial heat for district heating networks, improving energy efficiency in schools, and decarbonising rural off-grid homes.

The North East and Yorkshire Energy Hub
We’re also a part of the North East and Yorkshire Energy Hub – a Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) led initiative comprising of six Local Enterprise Partnerships across the region accelerating the transition to ‘Net Zero’ and a future of clean growth through local energy delivery.
