Building on local plans and strategies, TfN has produced two new and important pieces of evidence, the Major Roads Report and Integrated Rail Report. These reports will look at the current transport networks, how they are performing, how they support the Northern economy, how they would cope with future growth, and what the gaps are. The conclusions will inform the Strategic Transport Plan, identifying the case for investment in the North’s transport system.

TfN will be publishing this evidence and a number of other reports in June, and as part of this are holding a number of drop-in events in towns and cities across the North. This is an opportunity for local businesses, elected members, and interested groups to find out more about TfN’s work, feedback whether the evidence reflects their experience, and discuss TfN’s future plans and how they might support them.

If you are interested in attending, please reply directly to david.levene@transportforthenorth.com to give an idea of numbers, and come along at any time between 3pm and 7pm on the day.
