Hull and East Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partnership (HEY LEP), Investment Programme Team, is running an event for all businesses in Hull and East Yorkshire to discover existing and new funding opportunities.

The Event is for all SMEs in Hull & East Riding and will provide information on both the Growing Places Fund, the Goole Property Activation Fund, the Made Smarter Programme and additional business support available.

There will be an opportunity to take part in a workshop covering ‘How to complete your Application to the Growing Places Fund’, some one-to-one discussions with members of the Investment Programme Team, Made Smarter Team, as well as a presentation by Leon McQuade from Think Cloud about AI in Business. We will also be joined by a representative from Innovate UK Edge who will be giving a short presentation about the support they can offer high growth potential businesses that are developing innovative new product/service offerings.

There will also be a representative from the Goole Property Activation Fund at this event to provide additional information about this fund, which is part of the Town Deal.

As part of the Government’s Levelling Up Agenda and out of eight projects that have been allocated a share of the Town Deal Funding the Goole Town Deal Programme has launched a £4.175m Property Activation Fund grant scheme. The scheme is looking to restore, renovate and re-energize Goole Town Centre by restoring, refurbishing and, ultimately reinventing buildings that are empty, under used or in a poor state of repair.

The events will bring together a range of support and advisory services in one place, focused solely on SMEs in the Region (both Hull & East Riding), where business owners can meet and explore issues with experts, which could have a positive impact on their businesses. Growth Hub Advisors from both Hull & East Riding will be available to offer their business support advice.

Leon McQuade from Think Cloud will be giving a presentation about the opportunities for businesses to learn how digital adoption in businesses could contribute to cost savings, increased productivity and economic growth, through the implementation of digital technology.

This event will be an opportunity for SMEs across the Region to talk to a wide range of experts who can offer business support and talk about funding opportunities that exist.

Alison Lacey, Investment Programme Officer at the HEY LEP, said: “This session is a great opportunity for local businesses to find out ways in which they can be supported, both through funding and through tips and advice.

“We look forward to welcoming them and hopefully see them flourish as a result.”

The event will take place from 8am to noon at RaisE Business Centre, Tom Pudding Way, Goole DN14 6BS.
