James is currently the Site General Manager for BAE Systems at its Brough site. Having worked at Brough since graduating in 1997 with a Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering from Loughborough University. James is a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society and President of the Brough branch.
James has mainly worked on the Hawk aircraft throughout his career to date and is currently responsible for the engineering support to all operators worldwide. Since taking the site lead role in 2021, James has led the relaunch of the site into an engineering focused establishment . In order to ensure the East Riding can retain and offer new highly skilled employment opportunities, James is relaunching the community engagement activities within the company and looking to get as many employees involved as possible either through Enterprise Advisors or STEM ambassadors. Keen to offer as much back into the community as possible, James also sits on the cornerstone group of employers within the HEYLEP
