James has spent over 10 years in the Humber region focusing on skills, competency and apprenticeships in the engineering, manufacturing and process industries. As Chief Operating Officer for CATCH, James is responsible for developing and delivering the vision for CATCH as an employer led membership and competency based organisation based across the Yorkshire and Humber region. James is also responsible for leading the industrial skills agenda and ensuring CATCH delivers high quality training and apprenticeship programmes.
James has a strong background in apprenticeships & competency based training for industry in addition to working with employers across a variety of industries. James is also passionate about engaging young people in STEM subjects to enable them to access future opportunities in industry. Hull born and bred, James has a keen focus to ensure that the region develops and retains its people to meet the upcoming skills requirements as a major player in the clean growth era.
