Stephen Parnaby OBE is Deputy Chair of the HEY LEP.
Stephen is Business Development Director at Wren Kitchens, where he has been closely involved in the massive expansion at its Headquarters at Barton-upon-Humber – taking the manufacturing space to two million square feet, along with other developments in the Humber region and at its sites throughout the UK.
His background is in petrol retailing, intensive poultry farming, caravan storage and property.
Probably best known as a local Councillor for 40 years , he was Leader for 28 of those years, including Leader of East Riding of Yorkshire Council from its inception in 1996 until he retired from local government in 2019.
His other interests are as Project Director of The Business Day, a prestigious event he conceived in 2017, bringing together 700 delegates from the region to celebrate the successes of the region and inspiring opportunities, Director of Humber Freeport and of a recycling textile company.
He also acts as a Trustee for some local charitable organisations.
