An award-winning proptech business, whose software could help improve building safety, has raised £250,000 from NPIF – Mercia Equity Finance, which is managed by Mercia and is part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund.

Following the recent success of the Government-led Growing Hull & East Yorkshire Programme the Hull & East Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partnership is pleased to announce a new 3-year Capital Investment Programme launching 1st April 2022.

The Growing Places Programme Fund is a £3.25m business investment scheme aiming to provide capital grants and loans to SME businesses in Hull and East Yorkshire to support and incentivise business growth, investment, and job creation.

Made Smarter: A Business Boost for Hull and East Yorkshire Companies

Humber Learning Consortium are pleased to announce the launch of the 6th round of their ESF Community Grants 5 project.

ESF Community Grants are part of the European Social Fund (ESF) program which is distributing small grants in the Humber, York and North Yorkshire region. The aim of the fund is to help unemployed people progress towards employment through access to learning and training opportunities.

Businesses who registered for free Covid-19 test kits before the 12 April have until 30 June to order their free test kits. With this date fast approaching, it is important to get kits ordered while you still can and businesses are being encouraged to do so as soon as possible.

The newly formed Hull and East Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partnership (HEY LEP) has appointed the region’s Business Engagement Board (BEB) as its main private sector Advisory Partner. This follows the creation of the LEP and the appointment of twelve new Board members on 1 April.

The BEB, chaired by Thomas Martin, Chairman of Arco, was formed in Autumn 2020 to ensure continuity in communications between the private and public sectors in the region, whilst the new HEY LEP was being formed.
